Seventeen is a 13-member South Korean boy band formed by Pledis Entertainment, debuting on May 26, 2015 with the EP 17 Carat. Considered a "self-producing" group, members are involved in songwriting, music production and choreography, and the act is split into hip-hop, vocal and performance units. Their 2023 EPs FML and Seventeenth Heaven set records for the best-sold albums in history, with FML named IFPI's best-selling album of 2023 and earning the group MAMA's Album of the Year in 2023 and 2024. They are widely known for their synchronisation and live performances, with media nicknames such as "K-pop Performance Powerhouse".
