Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in Sayreville, New Jersey in 1983, fronted by Jon Bon Jovi alongside David Bryan, Tico Torres and longtime bassist Hugh McDonald. Their 1986 third album Slippery When Wet broke them globally, producing the Hot 100 chart-toppers "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer", and was followed by the multi-platinum New Jersey (1988), Keep the Faith (1992) and Crush (2000), with the latter's "It's My Life" introducing the band to a new generation. They have sold more than 130 million records worldwide and were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
