Bruno Mars (born Peter Gene Hernandez, October 8, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer and dancer regarded as a pop icon, known for his three-octave tenor, retro showmanship and live performances with his band the Hooligans. After co-founding the production team the Smeezingtons, he rose to fame on B.o.B's number-one single "Nothin' on You" (2009) and released the acclaimed albums Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox and 24K Magic, the last of which won the Grammy for Album of the Year. With Anderson .Paak he formed Silk Sonic in 2021, scoring a US number one with "Leave the Door Open". Mars has won 16 Grammy Awards and sold over 150 million records worldwide.
